I just read this artical on a interview with one of the Far Cry 2 developers. The developer was asked what were specs of the game going to be and he replied that the official specs have not been released, but that "the development team currently has the game running on a Pentium 4 system with a single GeForce 6800 card at Ubisoft Montreal's office. The game will support both DirectX 9 and DirectX 10, too."

So it appears that most people who have a computer that is 3 or 4 years old most likey will be able to run the new game. If that is true, what do we do as a clan? Do we move forward to Far Cry 2 multiplayer or do we stay with Far Cry 1? My opinion is that we move on to Far Cry 2, but I want to do this as a clan and hopefully not leave anyone behind.

I was just watching a video of the developer of Far Cry 2. He was showing several demo's of the new Far Cry 2 and when asked what were the game specifications going to be, he stated that they were not going to release that at this time. However, he did mentioned that the demo's being shown were being played on a machine that was three years old. FYI only...cya

That's a good point Rob, Just how many of the clan members are planning to purchase the new Far Cry 2, and what should we as a clan do. Do we continue playing Far Cry, or do we switch over to the new Far Cry 2. Do we as a clan switch over to the new Far Cry 2, continue playing Far Cry, or do both? It appears that the members of the clan are going to have to make a decision as to what we do as a clan.

The lastest date that I have heard for Far Cry 2 being released is November 11, 2008. Members should check and make sure your computer is going to be able to run it. Im guessing here, but I'm guessing your going to need at least 2 gigs of memory, a video card that has at least 500 megs of ram, and a dual core processor would not hurt either! This is just a guess on my part, since no offical specifications have been released by UBI.

From what I have seen so far of the game, it is going to be as good as the first one.
